Description

Me and my husband visited Lake Mead Recreation area and have the chance to see this beautiful place!

It fascinates me how history was formed to give water to Nevada and some other states.

Here are some interesting facts about the Lake Mead National Recreation Area:
- Lake Mead National Recreation Area is not a natural lake, but a reservoir that was created with the construction of the Hoover Dam.
- It is the largest reservoir in the United States by volume and is second to Lake Powell in terms of surface area.
- The recreation area is enormous, covering 1.5 million acres and spanning across the borders of Nevada and Arizona.
- The lake is a popular destination for scuba diving, boating, and other water sports.
- It is technically a reservoir and was created to supply water to the citizens and visitors of Las Vegas and the surrounding areas.
- The lake is home to a diverse range of environments and wildlife, including bald eagles.

I am so glad to photographed Lake Mead!
